Research and Innovation
Occupation Therapy is committed to quality research which will contribute to a greater understanding of human occupations, occupational roles, occupational performance and occupational adaptation in order to enhance the knowledge base of both occupational therapy and leisure & health.
Staff within these disciplines have deliberately sought to develop a climate which is conducive to research into these aspects of human behaviour. Qualitative and quantitative methodologies are seen as complementary components of the research process.
A spirit of inquiry which is open to exploring a range of methodologies and combinations of methodologies is encouraged and a supportive environment which encourages the development of sound research skills is fostered.
