Facilities at the Ramaciotti Imaging Centre

Radiochemistry Laboratory

shielded hot cells

Shielded hot cells for radiolabelling biomarkers with positron emitters and radio-isotopes of iodine

TracerLab nucleophilic fluorination module

TracerLab nucleophilic fluorination module for automated production of fluorinated PET tracers

Medicinal Chemistry Laboratory

The medicinal chemistry laboratory is a facility for the development and synthesis of novel bioactive CNS molecules. We apply rational design principles that allow positron emitters or single photon emitters to be introduced into these ligands for applications in molecular imaging. Molecular modelling is performed to explore structure-activity relationships (see biomodelling lab) as part of a convergent approach to rational drug design and development.
