Discipline of Medical Radiation Sciences
The discipline of Medical Radiation Sciences is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences. First established in 1988, the discipline now encompasses the streams of diagnostic radiography, nuclear medicineand radiation therapy.
All of the MRS professions combine close patient contact and good communication skills, along with the use of technology to maximise the results of patients and provide high quality patient care. Qualifications gained from the discipline are recognised worldwide and our graduates work throughout Australia and internationally.
Staff and students of the Discipline of Medical Radiation Sciences are active in a range of research projects in the fields of imaging and radiation. Visit the Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences Faculty Research Group to find out more about research in these areas.
Opportunities for staff and students are also further strengthened by close links with the Brain and Mind Research Institute.
