This program is relevant for you if you design, teach, supervise, assess or manage education programs for students, new graduates, service providers and patient educators in medicine, nursing, allied health professions and other health workers.
Studies in this specialist area were first offered by the Faculty of Health Sciences in 1989.

Principles that underpin this course:

  • examination of theory and contemporary evidence-based practices
  • development of scholarship in health professional education
  • engagement with educational issues in the health professions.

Students in our program participate in an interprofessional learning environment by distance education using interactive online learning, print-based materials and email support. Flexible pathways enable you to choose relevant units, plan and pace your studies around your other commitments, and work towards doctoral research studies in education if you wish.
