Online Evidence Retrieval Systems
Improving clinicians' access to evidence via the implementation of online information retrieval systems has been adopted as a strategy by several state health departments in Australia in order to improve the uptake of evidence-based practice. These systems are designed to improve the quality of clinical decision-making, by providing clinicians with easy access to evidence when they need it. While located at the Centre for Health Informatics, University of NSW, our team conducted a large program of research investigating the use and impact of online evidence retrieval systems on decision-making by health professionals.
