Robert's interests include the application of mobile and wireless technologies and Internet technologies to the health care domain, including secure electronic health records systems and sensor technologies

Robert is currently leading five research projects as first-named Chief Investigator including four Australian  Research Council grants and one DIISR International Science Linkage grant.

Robert also has an extensive track record in developing innovative educational programs.

Research Interests

Robert's current international collaboration is focused on investigating the application of new wireless mesh technologies to rural and regional applications such as enhanced healthcare services. His work under ARC Discovery funding is investigating novel approaches to trust in mobile computing systems and this is being applied in the area of more secure and private electronic health records.

Robert also has extensive and successful industry collaboration experience. Areas of research interest include the rich representation of data in various application domains.
