Dr Mary Lam received training in health information management and was awarded a Master in Health Information Management after obtaining a PhD in Bioinformatics.
She worked as a Health Information Manager for the NSW Aged Care Assessment Program Evaluation Unit and other health care settings before joining the National Centre for Classification in Health (NCCH) and, more recently, the Discipline of Health Informatics at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Her areas of research interest include: management of large scale health-related datasets; data linkage; and quality of health-related data collections.
She is also interested in developing collaborative research with clinical colleagues.
