The Specialised Major in Speech Pathology

The Specialised Major in Speech Pathology is a major within the Master of Health Sciences

This program is designed for qualified speech pathologists who want to further their studies through postgraduate coursework.

This major is ideal for clinicians who wish to gain an advanced qualification within the field in which they are currently practising, but do not want to do research at this time. Interested students should note that some units are only available online (distance).

Additional Requirements for Specific Major Entry

In order to qualify for admission, you will need:

  • A bachelors degree in speech pathology from a recognised university.
  • Work experience as a speech pathologist in the last 5 years.

Graduate Certificate

The graduate certificate is the baseline entry level for the speech pathology major in the Master of Health Sciences. Students who successfully complete the graduate certificate are eligible for full credit for their study and can articulate to the master’s course.
