Reinie lectures at the Discipline of Occupational Therapy. He has extensive experience in working in child and adolescent mental health. His research interests include play, developmental disorders and attachment theory. This unit highlights the unique role of the occupational therapist during the assessment and intervention phase from the perspective of the everyday difficulties commonly encountered by children and adolescents with mental health conditions.

Anita is Professor of Occupational Therapy. She and colleagues Shelly Lane and Elizabeth Murray are the editors of Sensory Integration: Theory and Practice, a textbook used throughout the world by OTs and OT students. She is an instructor for Western Psychological Services in sensory integration theory and treatment. She is certified in paediatric Neurodevelopment Therapy and to administer and interpret the Sensory Integration and Praxis tests. She has more than 30 years of practice in paediatrics.

Therma Cheung is the Senior Principal Occupational Therapist in Singapore General Hospital. Prior to assuming the role of Research Coordinator in the Department, she has been the Head of Occupational Therapy Department in Singapore General Hospital with more that 10 years management experience. She was also appointed as the Adjunct Lecturer by Curtin University in 2004 for potential joint venture of educational initiatives between the University and SGH. Clinically, her main interests are in Hand and Upper Limb Rehabilitation and related research, in which she has 13 years experience. She has presented her research in various international conferences such as the Inaugural Scientific Meeting of the Asian Pacific Federation of Societies for Surgery of Hand, Congress of the International Federation of Societies for Hand Therapy, and Congress of the European Federation of Societies of Hand Therapy. She has a strong passion in research and evidence based practice and is the main driver of research and evidence based practice activities in her department.
