The Specialised Major in Indigenous Health is a major within the Master of Health Sciences
Another study option is to consider enrolling in the Master of Health Sciences generic degree. A significant feature of this programs is its flexibility. It allows health care professionals to design an entire program that meets individual professional interests and learning needs.

If enrolling in the Master of Health Sciences, please note that the closing date for domestic student applications for Semester 1 2010 will be 30 October 2009. Applications submitted after this date will not be accepted.
The Specialised Major in Indigenous Health focuses on the health needs of indigenous people and their communities. It aims to provide professionals currently working, or intending to work, in this area with essential knowledge and skills for maintaining standards of health, preventing diseases, and promoting the well-being of indigenous people.
This course is offered in both distance mode and face-to-face block seminars (dependent on numbers).

Additional Requirements for Specific Major Entry
In order to qualify for admission, you will need a minimum of two years work experience in areas of health and related fields.
Graduate Certificate
The graduate certificate is the baseline entry level for the Indigenous Health major of the Master of Health Sciences. Students who successfully complete the graduate certificate are eligible for full credit for their study and can articulate to the master’s course.
