Medical Emergency

In a medical emergency, dial 0-000 (or 000 if calling from an external line or mobile phone) and ask for an ambulance.

Provide instructions as to which gate to enter University grounds and the nature of the emergency.

Notify Security - Dial 3

A member of staff or another person should go to that gate to direct the ambulance when it arrives.

First Aid

In a situation requiring first aid, the nearest First Aid Officer should be contacted to render assistance. There is a First Aid kit in most buildings on this campus, usually located in tea rooms or laboratories. Each kit is clearly marked with alternate kit locations and the nearest and alternative First Aid Officers for that area. Below is a list of First Aid Officers and kit locations.

There is a basic First Aid room (includind a bed) in E Block First Aid Room.

A wheelchair is also located in E Block for transport if required. Contact Security (Ext 3).

External Medical Services nearest to Cumberland Campus:

• United Care Medical Centre - 27 John St. Lidcombe. Ph. 9649 7201 (8am - 7pm)
• Auburn Hospital - Norval St. Auburn. Ph. 9643 1774 (24 hours)
• Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital - Eldridge Rd. Bankstown. Ph. 9563 9758 (24 hours)

Both hospitals have Emergency/Outpatients provisions.

Transport to these centres is the responsibility of the individual.
