Indigenous Health

The Faculty of Health Sciences is committed to addressing the imbalance in health outcomes for Indigenous Australians, as well as the under representation of Indigenous people within the healthcare system.

The Yooroang Garang Indigenous Student Support Unit is based within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Cumberland Campus. The Unit offers Indigenous people a special place within the University of Sydney where they can study and develop their academic interests and be supported to reach their goals and aspirations for a career in health.

Our students and staff also contribute greatly to Indigenous health and education through various schemes:
