Back Pain Research Group

The Back Pain Research Group includes researchers and clinicians from a wide range of disciplines including:

• physiotherapy;
• psychology;
• pharmacy;
• general medical practice;
• epidemiology;
• rheumatology and
• exercise science.

This group of researchers aims to solve some of the major issues facing people with back or neck pain.

Current research is related to the major themes of:

• diagnosis;
• prognosis;
• treatment;
• mechanisms of pain development and persistence and
• measurement of outcomes.
